D.E.D.Lev One" is a part of a coding system used by the intergalactic protection militia known as the Enforcer Guard. The code rates and labels stellar convicts as to their imminent danger and villainous capabilities. "D.E.D" stands for "Danger Extreme Deviant" while "Lev One" is the level of criminal potential. D.E.D.Lev Fifty would be the lowest rated (though still very dangerous) criminal and D.E.D.Lev One would be the most destructive and deadly. In the 475 years since the Axiom council was founded, There had only been a handful of criminals lower than a D.E.D.Lev Ten and only six D.E.D.Lev Ones. The most powerful and wicked D.E.D.Lev One ever to be captured was a former Enforcer Guard general known as Chul'rah.

Chul'rah instituted the absolute destruction of T.U.C.I.F. (Trans Universal Criminal Incarceration Facility) and the demise of Dank Winstrong (the president of the Axiom council and the Enforcer Guard militia). He also staged the execution of two Enforcer officers; two Enforcer cadets and one Enforcer cadet in training: the five sons of Dank Winstrong. After causing the downfall of the one who had once been his mentor and closest companion and the collapse of the mightiest space prison ever constructed, Chul'rah and his hordes of liberated D.E.D.Levs fled.

All D.E.D.Levs were forever marked as retractor grids were implanted into their central nervous systems. The grid acted as a homing device and universal language translator. Any criminal with this mechanism in their body could be located anywhere in the universe. They could also be sent Ultra Sonic signals for various purposes. Removal of the grid would cause instant death to the extracted.

Chul'rah knew the Enforcer Guard would eventually track him down. His only hope was to exile himself outside of their universe? Chul'rah discovered a small worm hole whose structure was deteriorating rapidly. He would lead his hordes through the worm hole in a fleet of stolen Enforcer Guard ships and seek out worlds to conquer on the other side. The gateway to this new galaxy would be destroyed and the Enforcer Guard's pursuit would be forever thwarted.

Unbeknownst to Chul'rah, the five sons of Winstrong thought to be dead, had not been killed. They had survived their assassination attempt and retrieved their father just before his death. In his final moments of life, Dank Winstrong passed on his essence to his sons. As his life force entered their beings, it caused their physical chemistry to change.

Muzz Winstrong, the oldest son, was endowed with the power to alter his body's molecular structure to any compound of elements imaginable. He could change portions of his body or his entire being into substances of energy, gases, metals or numerous other elemental combinations.

The life force caused Drex, the second born and a quadriplegic, to posses a heart capable of producing blood which could integrate with inorganic material. His robotic prostheses became melded to his central nervous system. The implants could now take the form of any mechanism Drex desired.

One of the twins born to Dank Winstrong known as Janoth found that a strange membrane had secreted from the tips of his arms' ulna bones, up his arms and down his sides and to the upper edges of his pelvic bone. Another strange phenomenon occurred. Janoth could control his body's density. Making his body as light as a feather, Janoth could now use the membranes as wings and soar among the clouds. Then if he so chose, he could make his body as dense as lead and plummet to the ground like a racing bullet.

Finnimur, Janoth's twin brother, received the power to generate a kinetic aura about his being. The energy allowed him to move at incredible speeds ranging as high as Mach 4. His brain was also effected by the aura. He could calculate and control all of his actions and motor functions even at their tremendous velocities.

The youngest son and forever-silent Hauf began to increase in mass. His bones, muscle tissue, organs, skin and the like increased to become mighty vessels of power. His body could endure the forces of extreme impacts and was capable of immeasurable strength.
